We are currently looking for individuals to implement behavioural support plans, skill development programs and crisis intervention procedures with a young man with Autism who also may exhibit aggression or self-injurious behaviour.
In this role, you will work within a team that includes close supervision, support and training from Senior Behaviour Therapists and Progressive Steps Training and Consultation Inc's BCBA's
**We operate 24/7, 7 days a week, therefore flexibility in scheduling/availability is required.**
**Shifts**:
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (mornings)
- 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (evenings)
- 11:00 pm - 7:00 am (overnight)
**Must be available for day/night shifts each week**
**Must be available during weekends**

**Responsibilities**
**A) Supporting the client**:
**MANDATORY**: Working one on one with the client for a minimum of 3 shifts a week and more as needed including but NOT limited to the following:
- Participates in staff training and clinical/team meetings when applicable
- Implements and collecting data on behavioral treatments, including crisis management plans, skill acquisition programs etc.,
- Engages with the client on an ongoing basis and participating in fun and creative activities
- Engages in professional development through staff training with Senior Behaviour therapists, the BCBA, and the employer
- Participates in everyday life skills with the client e.g., cooking, cleaning, community outings etc.
- Medication administration, recording, and documentation
**B) Clinical responsibilities**
**MANDATORY**:1 -2 shifts per week dedicated to clinical responsibilities including but NOT limited to the following:
- Graphs and analyzes all relevant behaviour data
- Provides both current staff and new hires with training as needed
- Writes skill acquisition programs and behaviour reduction programs
- Reviews staff interactions with clients and provides feedback
- Completes and summarizes skill and behaviour assessments with support from the Senior Behaviour Therapist/BCBA
- Contributes to behaviour support plans, crisis management plans and progress reports when needed
**C) Physical Containments/Restraints**
- Practices and conducts treatment integrity checks on physical containments
- Takes IOA data on containments and provides feedback to staff
- Works closely with the physical containment safety specialist and Senior Behaviour Therapist
- Attends and leads safety seminar trainings as needed
- Models and trains staff on physical safety practice and strategies
**Requirements**:
- A college diploma or university degree in behaviour sciences, applied behaviour analysis, or developmental service worker, psychology or equivalent, those working towards their degree or diploma will also be considered.
- 2 years experience in implementing ABA through skill development programs and or behaviour reduction programs
- Experience working with adults with ASD or disabilities (e.g., developmental, intellectual, physical disabilities etc.)
- Experience with physical restraints e.g., safe management, nonviolent crisis intervention training (NCI), crisis prevention institute (CPI)
- You have completed the registered behaviour technician (RBT) course or would be willing to complete it as a condition of your employment
- Experience supporting clients who engages in challenging behaviour (required)E.g., aggression, self-injurious behaviours etc.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (must be clear of crimes/convictions)
- First Aid and CPR training
- Physical Ability to complete job related task e.g., physical rest
