**Overview**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities that reflect children’s interests and support growth in all areas of development.
- Observe and document children’s progress, behavior, and milestones to inform planning and communicate with families.
- Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to maintain a consistent and high-quality program.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Support children with routines such as meals, rest, hygiene, and transitions throughout the day.
- Encourage children’s independence, curiosity, and confidence through intentional teaching and guidance.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
- Participate in regular team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification required; ECE Infant and Toddler certification is an asset.
- Must be certified to work in a licensed childcare facility in British Columbia.
- Experience working with children in an early learning setting.
- Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and child development best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate and clear criminal record check required.
- Multilingual skills are an asset and support communication with diverse families.
