Hello prospective applicants Barrie Bargains is a liquidation company searching for one permanent part-time employee. The company buys and sells liquidated goods such as toys, tools, apparel, furniture, home decor, and so much more. We also have an imported snacks and drinks room filled with tons of hard-to-find sweets and treats

Our hours are 11am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. We are searching for one knowledgeable employee who has some experience in the retail sector.

Cashier Job Responsibilities:

- Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Place curbside orders in vehicles or at the designated curbside area
- Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers’ purchases.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
- Bags purchases if needed.
- Processes return transactions.
- Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register.
- Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
- Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons.
- Collects payments by accepting cash or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Cashier Qualifications/ Skills:

- Friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to take instruction from a younger individual
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make change
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail

Education and Experience Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- 1+ years of retail experience desired
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities (with extensive notice) when necessary to meet business needs

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
