**What You’ll be Doing**:
**Role Specific Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership
- Overall leadership of the Corporate Reporting and Accounting team
- Lead, train and develop members of the Corporate Reporting and Accounting team in the development of departmental priorities, providing input in the day to day challenges and decision-making
- Plan and coordinate resources in Corporate Reporting and Accounting team to maximize efficiency
- Communicate corporate messages providing appropriate context in a timely manner

Financial Reporting
- Lead and coordinate month-end close process to gain senior management sign-off to close the books
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to external stakeholders are completed on schedule
- Manage interim and year-end audits; serve as main contact for external auditors; manage relationship
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger including period open and close, new account requests and system interface maintenance
- Accountable for accurate and timely preparation and publishing of audited financial statements, all audit support activity and all shareholder reporting incl board of director reporting
- Oversight and accountability for the review and signoff of all F&A journal entries and account reconciliations/analyses

Treasury
- Manage Treasury operations and Cash Forecasting reporting

Controls
- Ensure accounting policies and standard operating procedures are current
- Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and controls are updated and SOx compliant

Ad hoc
- Drive financial reporting and financial operations projects and support special project initiatives across the Company with a financial reporting or financial operations impact
- Back-up Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis where required
- Provide management support for ad hoc reporting requirements
- Communicate corporate messages providing appropriate context in a timely manner
- Initiate and implement appropriate “kaizen” (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improve time and process efficiencies
- Measures incremental success through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Support tax department as required
- Other duties and projects as required

**What You’ll Bring**:

- University degree in Business/Accounting, or MBA
- CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation
- Experience partnering with the business including at senior and executive levels
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High level of business acumen (demonstrated ability to link company financials to the larger business and industry and communicate)
- Current, up-to-date, accounting knowledge International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Understanding of financial information systems and informational needs of decision makers
- Performance management
