Overview

**Summary**

The **Area Sales Leader (Kitchener, Ontario)** is focused on driving executional excellence, sales growth, and compliance within the region. The ASL will use their exceptional sales and relationship building skills to deliver a best-in-class in-store experience to their customers. The role will also manage all aspects of communication, training, route sales, onboarding and executing the independent distributor (franchise owner) agreement obligations.

**Responsibilities**

**Lead all Field Sales Fundamentals within Region**:

- Builds and maintains strong relationships with Store and/or Bakery Managers in territory
- Ensures all stores are executed the Wonderbrands Way: planogram compliance, visible pricing, optimized use of shelf and secondary displays
- Manages the sell-in of POS materials to stores, ensures these are communicated and delivered to IDs in a timely manner that lines up with innovation launches or holiday schedules
- Collaboratively works with Sales, Marketing, and ASL peers to drive executional priorities
- Educates stores and independent distributors on our products features and benefits, and how these fit with the different customers

**Achieve Sales Targets and KPIs**:

- Achieves sales revenue, stale (returns), and store visit objectives within area
- Consistently monitors store performance and quickly reacts to opportunities within area
- Gathers and reports on field insights using an iPad at all stores
- Supports Independent Distributors in business development & with promotion plans
- Conducts business reviews with all independent distributors within their territory

**Foster a High-Performing Environment with Independent Distributors in your Area**:

- Works with IDs to optimize route - route planning (Analyze territory, grouping stores and scheduling visits), Loading/unloading, preparation for future deliveries
- Monitors and ensure ID Agreement compliance - develop and grow territory, support Wonderbrands Marketing programs, maintain proper service and delivery to all outlets, maintaining adequate fresh supply, rotating product and managing stales
- Strengthens SOPs for servicing their accounts - managing returns, assessing inventory levels, printing invoices, receiving, merchandising, reviewing order for next delivery
- Participates in selection of new IDs

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience field sales team (food industry an asset)
- Ability to effectively work from home and in the field
- Experience managing a franchise operation unit
- Multi-tasking and priority management are key components to be successful in the role
- Exceptionally strong communicator and team builder
- Proven experience in people leadership and development
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced & multi task environment
- Executive level presentation skills
- Possess strong planning and time management skills
- Experience building customer relationships.
- Strong computer skills (intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office)
- A passion for the Consumer Packaged Goods industry an asset
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
