**1. **SUMMARY OF POSITION**

The Packer performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.

**2. **TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- Prepare orders and verify that they are all correct i.e. number of pieces, labels, lot numbers, production lot numbers, cleanliness, weight of product, metal detector, proper packaging material used, etc.
- Return bins, drums and boxes to the designated area that the team uses.
- Report any change in product quality i.e., color, lumps, packaging, damage etc. to the quality control department without any delay.
- Notify Packaging Lead Hand on all back orders.
- Follow all **GMP/HACCP/GFSI** rules and procedures.
- Follow the departments cleaning schedule, and make sure area is kept clean and safe.

**3. **QUALIFICATIONS**

**Language knowledge**
- Preferably bilingual (English and French/spoken and written).

**Education/experience**
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in the food industry in a similar role would be a strong asset.
- Experience in **GMP/HACCP/GFSI** environment would be a strong asset.
- Preferably with a high school diploma.

**Technical skills and/or professional skills**
- Works well in team.
- Ability to work physically.
- Can support pressure.
- Is organized.
- Keeps a positive attitude at all times and execute tasks in a professional manner.

**4. **OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- No allergies related to herbs or spices or other food products.
- Be able to work in a dusty environment.
- Needs to be able to use hair nets and beard nets.
- No jewelry allowed inside the plant.
- Good hygiene (clean clothes, trimmed nails, clean body).
- Needs to wear safety boots.
