**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
- Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
- Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs, ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures when required, demonstrating knowledge of orthodontics.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics is a plus, showcasing the ability to work well with children.
- Understanding of orthodontics is beneficial for assisting with specialized procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage appointments effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
