**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prototyping of fuel cell components (plate, seal, stack, and hardware).
- Support process related documentation including SOP specifications.
- Assist in setting up new advanced prototyping line and First Article Inspection.
- Quality Control functions such as Incoming Inspection, In-process Inspection, and end of line inspection.
- Troubleshooting and repair of in-process and customer returns.
- Report out to product development team on results and recommendations.
- Assisting in the verification of mechanical process systems.
- Preparation of reports for compliance assessment of the product.
- Evaluation and monitoring health and safety hazards and ensuring a safe workplace.
- General laboratory cleaning, maintenance, and other duties as required.
- Troubleshooting and repair of pilot line equipment, and fuel cell test equipment.
- Assist in Facility maintenance as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES**:

- Technician or Technology diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
- Experience working in in both an industrial and product development setting preferred.
- Mechanical hands-on experience in rapid prototyping environment preferred.
- Experience with LabView programming would be an asset.
- Familiar with using Microsoft Office (including MS Excel and MS word, etc.)
- Experience with programming software for automation and data analysis would be an asset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to perform hands on repetitive manufacturing on a periodic basis as required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Previous background with fuel cells and/or fuel cell systems is highly preferable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment and able to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines and to respond to pressing issues.
- Proactive and takes initiative.
- Acquiring driver’s licence is an asset.
- Able to make commute to both North Vancouver and Langley on a regular basis.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months
