IT Sales Technician

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable **IT Sales Technician** to promote and sell our IT solutions. In this role, your duties will include familiarizing yourself with the technical specifications of our products, assessing clients' IT needs and demonstrating our solutions with existing and potential clients.

- Strong knowledge of Telecom or IT services is an asset

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a similar qualification.
- 2 - 5 years experience in an IT sales environment.
- 2 - 5 years of B2B customer service experience
- Ability to simplify, explain and demonstrate IT product specifications and functionalities.
- Advanced proficiency in IT industry terminology and jargon.
- Ability to liaise with management and IT developers about sales strategies.
- Exceptional ability in negotiating sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
- Ability to evaluate client feedback and provide after-sales service.
- In-depth knowledge of consumer behavior, as well as industry trends and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma considered an asset
- Strong sense of resilience
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building capabilities
- Product knowledge in Telecom, managed IT services and software development is considered an asset
- Proactive and goal oriented
- Experience with CRM databases considered an asset
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Valid driver’s license (BC driver’s license preferred)

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Keeping informed on technical product specifications and functionalities.
- Consulting with IT Technicians and management on product offerings.
- Assessing clients' IT needs and recommending products and services
- Preparing and delivering sales pitches and product demonstrations.
- Initiating after-sales technical support based on client requirements and feedback.
- Tracking sales targets and documenting sales performance metrics.
- Ensuring competitiveness by analyzing and researching industry trends.
- Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts
- Work with the technical team to assess and propose solutions
- Qualify leads
- Advise on and quote new opportunities
- Advise on aged technology (EOL, EOS) and propose an action plan to replace
- Handle all quoting/sales (projects, hardware, software) for assigned accounts
- Negotiate new contracts prior to contract anniversary date
- Customer retention strategies
- Perform quality assurance checks, IT report cards and review meetings with clients
