Aethera® is currently seeking an Electronic Technician to join their growing team. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the Electronic Technician will specialize in development, operational testing, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of high-power radio frequency electronics to meet customer, reliability, regulatory and performance requirements. Typical working hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday.

Ability to travel within Canada, USA, and internationally is required, as is the ability to meet requirements needed for Controlled Goods registration, Industrial Security and other security requirements needed for the company business operations.

As an Electronic Technician at Aethera®, you will be a key member of the team, undertaking a broad range of hands-on and technical activities which may include:

- Executing testing of newly assembled products, ensuring assemblies meet performance specifications at various electrical and environmental conditions.
- Performing engineering verification tests of new designs.
- Developing and maintaining assembly test schedules based on the production schedule and customer delivery dates.
- Developing test procedures and test fixtures.
- Communicating with production and engineering teams on resolutions to testing issues.
- Recommendation of solutions to ensure the designed product conforms to design requirements.
- Drawing package documentation updates, including schematics, parts lists, wiring route sheets, assembly drawings.
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of engineering proof-of-concepts.
- Assisting with low volume manufacturing including interfacing directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- On site installation, maintenance and support of equipment.
- Analysis of gathered equipment operational data.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring performance of remote equipment.
- Incorporating electrical safety practices into all tasks.
- Occasional work at heights and on ladders following safe work practices.
- Lifting equipment of up to 50lbs following safe work practices.
- Remote technical and operational support for Aethera® customers.

You are familiar with relevant software tools including 3D Mechanical CAD, PCB Design and are proficient with use of Microsoft office suite. Experience with CRM tools would be an asset.
Hands on experience with electronics manufacturing, testing and soldering equipment would be considered an asset. You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, are comfortable to work as part of a team or with mínimal supervision and are a multi-tasker and remain calm under pressure.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
