**Role and Responsibilities**

Responsible for conducting research, engaging the Ribbon Rouge Foundation (RRF) network members, and identifying key external stakeholders in our long-term plans to deepen relationships for various foundation outcomes. This position ensures internal communications within RRF and relationship management with strategic partners and collaborators with the Foundation to ensure successful program implementation. In addition, the Community Research Coordinator’s role is to ensure community engagement in RRF’s activities:
1. Build and maintain relationships with project participants, ACB community influencers and members, partners, and external stakeholders.

2. Plan, organize, and coordinate all activities as required to implement community engagement plans.

3. Develop and maintain community engagement opportunities.

4. Design and implement outreach work to attract critically diverse participation in RRF programs, especially of people who are the most marginalized identities in the community.

5. Facilitate complex case management and systems navigation work with RRF’s strategic partners; facilitate sexual health promotion and support of the ACB caucus for wraparound shared care work as needed.

6. Deepen relationships with identified community stakeholders, members, potential donors, and funders.

7. Implement meetings, surveys, and other ways for communicating with and receiving feedback from RRF membership and other stakeholders as guided by various program work plans.

8. Maintain various databases of groups of stakeholders, related media, allied professionals, and policymakers

**Expected research products include**:

- Report on and inform an evidence-based approach towards developing a more positive relationship between ACB people and various justice systems.
- Contribute to and supports research on the understanding of how ACB people currently navigate various justice and corrections systems.
- A public report on the processes and impacts of research conducted.
- Regular progress reports to the team.
- Scheduling and conducting interviews

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Postsecondary degree or equivalent in social work, education, sociology, criminology or a related field.
- A high level of knowledge and comfort with: Asset Based Community Development, and Human Centered Design
- 2 - 3 years in settlement, corrections, mental health and addictions services preferred.
- Experience coordinating and negotiating relationship development and enhanced communication networks.
- Working knowledge/ experience of HIV, Social Determinants of Health, and related issues.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- Excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills.
- Experience using research and analysis methodologies and tools to gather, synthesize and present information/data.
- Experience in writing and presenting reports/communications on the information/data collected that is both comprehensive and easy to understand.
- Survey development and implementation.
- Experience with focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews.
- Strong analytical skills.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
