About the Role
Flying Minds Education Centre is growing and looking for motivated **university students** to join our tutoring team. You’ll support high school students in a welcoming learning environment—either in our **Study Hall** setting or **one-on-one**—helping them build confidence, improve grades, and reach academic goals.
What You’ll Tutor
- High School **Math** (Alberta curriculum)
- **Physics**:
- **Chemistry**:
- **Biology**
**Requirements**:
- Expert knowledge of **high school Math** (Alberta curriculum)
- **Math 31 (Calculus)** is an asset, but not required
- Strong knowledge of **Chemistry, Physics, and/or Biology** up to Grade 12
- Must be a **current university student**:
- Must have completed the **Alberta high school education system**:
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping teens succeed
- Friendly, professional, reliable, and punctual
- Available **evenings and/or weekends**:
- Able to work a minimum of **6 hours per week**:
- A **Police Information Check** will be required upon hire
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Previous tutoring/teaching/mentoring experience (preferred, not required)
- Ability to tutor **intro-level university/college courses**
Key Skills
- Patient, positive, and encouraging teaching style
- Strong organization and time management
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to different learners

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
