Our SW junior high campus serves over 450 students in grades 7-9, while our high school campus, launched in September 2022 in the University Innovation Quarter, has rapidly grown to host 710 students with plans to reach a capacity of 1,000. In fall 2025, we’re excited to expand further with the opening of a second junior high campus in the Calgary Charter Hub, where our high school is currently located.

**Position Information**

Lunchroom /Hallway Supervisor for Junior High and High School students - 12 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

**Position Focus**

The Lunchroom Supervisor is responsible for maintaining order and ensuring a safe, respectful, and clean environment during student lunch periods. This individual will oversee students in the cafeteria, hallways and student lounges, assist with routines, and enforce school rules in a positive manner. You must be able to develop and maintain a positive rapport and relationships with students from grade 7 through 12 and have a proven record of attendance and punctuality.

**Professional Responsibilities**
- Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria and/or designated eating areas.
- Promote and enforce appropriate behavior, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Assist students with seating, cleaning up, and any other lunch-related needs.
- Respond to minor incidents and accidents, reporting issues to school staff as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the lunchroom environment.
- Follow school policies and procedures regarding student health and safety.
- Collaborate with other supervisors, teachers, and staff as needed.
- Performs other related responsibilities as assigned to meet the purpose and accountabilities of the role.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children /adolescents preferred (e.g., daycare, school setting, youth programs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
