**Key Responsibilities**:
- Donor Database Management:
- Maintain and update donor records in the organization's database, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor information.
- Track donor contributions, pledges, and engagement history.
- Generate reports and analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for cultivation.
- Donor Stewardship and Communication:
- Serve as the first point of contact for donor inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Assist in creating donor thank-you letters, personalized acknowledgments, and other communications to recognize gifts.
- Coordinate donor mailings, such as newsletters, event invitations, and updates on program impacts.
- Fundraising and Event Support:
- Support the planning and execution of donor-focused events, including fundraisers, appreciation events, and informational sessions.
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-up communications for donor events.
- Assist in the production of donor materials, including brochures, annual reports, and proposals.
- Gift Processing and Acknowledgment:
- Process donations, ensuring timely acknowledgment and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with finance to ensure accurate recording of gifts and compliance with donor intent.
- Track gift receipts, prepare thank-you notes, and manage other donor-related administrative duties.
- Donor Cultivation:
- Identify potential donors by researching and analyzing donor databases and external resources.
- Assist in developing targeted outreach strategies for new and lapsed donors.
- Monitor donor engagement, providing insight to the development team for personalized approaches.
- Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work closely with the Finance, development and marketing teams to ensure donor communications align with the organization’s mission and branding.
- Assist in special projects as assigned by the Director of Development, contributing to team initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, event coordination, or donor relations.
- Experience with database management (e.g., CRM systems, donor databases) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with event management software and tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for event promotion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and professional correspondence.
- Organizational Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and managing event logistics.
- Ability to manage and coordinate schedules for meetings, events, and volunteer activities.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with donors, volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to respond to inquiries and resolve issues professionally and courteously.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding solutions and improving processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure, particularly during event execution.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
