**This Opportunity**
We are currently looking to fill **full-time, permanent Rehabilitation Services Coordinator role** in our Edmonton, Alberta Region.
**Duties include the following**:
- Effectively manages and approves program resources, human and financial needs to meet program goals and objectives
- Recruits, employs, trains, supervises and evaluates support service staff, within a pre-determined budget in accordance with the approved program plans.
- To coordinate the assessment development, implementation of individual rehabilitation plans with assigned staff.
- Monitorsand evaluatesoperational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Participates as a member of community support services administration team in planning, problem resolution, mediation, quality improvement and review of service delivery performance.
- Act as a resource to staff and families in the provision of long-term support and service coordination for complex cases to enable adults with brain injuries to remain in their community.
- Managing client files in accordance with policy
- Drafting and maintaining client progress reports with attention to detail and deadlines
- Participate on community committees where appropriate.
- Coordinating and leading meetings as required
- Act as a staff resource to support activities of Community Support Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
**Background / Qualifications**:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Services/Social Services program or equivalent. Nursing experience and education an asset.
- 2 - 5 years experience in the Social Services/Health Sector; experience coordinating services for people with disabilities highly desirable
- Community based experience working with individuals with physical disabilities/seniors
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading teams
- Highly organized and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and train employees including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management
- Knowledge of behaviour management principles
- Knowledge of mental health and addictions
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- General understanding of computer hardware and software
- Strong ability to assess and determine effective compensatory strategies for individuals with brain injuries
