The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is an Acciona-Ghella general partnership to deliver a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. Once complete, it will provide fast, frequent and convenient service to B.C.’s second largest jobs center, world-class health services, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.
The **Systems Quality Coordinator**serves as the Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) on-site Systems Quality representative, responsible for observing supply, installation, and subcontractor construction activities to ensure compliance with project quality requirements. The role involves coordinating with Systems Quality Inspection teams to track requirements and deficiencies through to closure.
This position requires a thorough understanding of installation plans and specifications, quality assurance principles, project documentation, construction site safety, and schedule alignment. Additionally, the Systems Quality Coordinator is responsible for documenting installation progress, managing documentation processes and templates, and implementing industry best practices to support consistent and compliant project execution.
**Responsibilities**:
- Execute specific inspections of materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
- Follow up on documents, field reports, observations, discrepancies, and testing failures with the Systems Team and Quality Team.
- Review design and installation specifications to understand system design intent and construction requirements.
- Review design documents, subcontractor submittals, and subcontractor quality control records to validate system requirements and interface sign-off.
- Coordinate and ensure that technical information, schedules, and construction data are communicated effectively to both the systems design and construction teams during construction, testing, and commissioning stages.
- Support the systems construction team’s daily activities, including material receiving and inspection of installations for quality, material quantities, installation methods, compliance with specifications and industry standards, schedule adherence, and contract requirements.
- Document inspection findings and complete detailed inspection reports and performance records.
- Generate and compile daily field quality inspection and observation reports; maintain a complete set of system inspection, validation, nonconformance, and deficiency records.
- Observe and document performance testing procedures to ensure compliance with design and specification requirements.
- Support all types of testing activities while maintaining high-quality standards across all processes.
- Attend meetings including, but not limited to, design, pre-construction, construction progress, pre-installation, commissioning, punch list, and closeout meetings.
- Coordinate with quality personnel, engineers, and field representatives to resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Assist with and provide input for site-specific readiness reviews, and ensure Post-Installation Check-Out (PICO) activities are completed and compliant.
- Coordinate, provide notifications for, and participate in final inspections with designers and contractors to document and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide training and refresher sessions to systems construction teams and subcontractors on quality requirements, processes, and project Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Systems Quality Manager and/or Systems Quality Lead.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

**Experience/Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of Quality inspector/Coordinator experience in the system of railway infrastructure, mechanical and electrical integrity programs and inspection of operating facilities is considered assets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical diploma combination with equivalent field experience, preferable electrical.
- Knowledge of quality control / quality assurance programs applicable to work.
- Ability to determine acceptability and rejectable work based on assigned criteria.
- Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to specific railway infrastructure activity.
- The ability to write detailed reports and demonstrate the computer skills necessary to access research and document results in the electronic medium are expected.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00
