We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Specialist **(15-month Maternity Leave) **to join our team.

**Job Overview**
The EHS Specialist will work closely with all departments to ensure that all health and safety, regulatory and company requirements are implemented in all facilities (6 locations) and promote a safe discrimination free, positive work environment.

The position will require you to be on site but there is flexibility to work from home on occasion.

**Salary Range: 70-75K per year, plus Health Benefits.**

**What you will do**:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Work with HR Trainers to develop a robust EHS training program.
- Maintain MSDS documentation for all sites.
- Investigate any accidents/injuries/property damage and complete any required documentation.
- Implement any corrective actions and preventative actions as a result of all cross functional investigations.
- Supporting the HR team by liaising with medical practitioners and/or WsIB in relation to the Company's Early Safe Return to Work program. In addition work closely with department heads to arrange for any modified duties that may be required based on limitations.

**What you will bring**:

- Post-Secondary Education or Certification in EHS Field
- Experience (3 or more years) in EHS elated practices
- Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Excellent planning, project management, and presentation skills
- Able to build and manage relationships with cross functional departments

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- EHS: 2 years (preferred)
- Warehouse or Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
