**About us**

Kid's Cottage Daycare Society is a non profit childcare centre that has severed the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas since 1993. We are located on the beautiful lands of the səmiq̓wəʔelə (pronounced Suh-MEE-kwuh-EL-uh), in recognition and respect of the Kwikwetlem First Nation's (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm) historical and cultural ties to its ancestral land.

We are run by a board of Directors and are a $10 a Day Childcare BC Site.

Our staff and board are dedicated to providing quality childcare in a non bias, accepting environment. We follow the Early Learning Framework Curriculum.

Our staff are members of the BCGEU.

**Hours**: Approximately 9 pm - 5 pm, Monday to Friday
- Report to the Supervisor
- Provide open communication with parents and co workers
- Provide quality, interactive programming

QUALIFICATONS
- A valid Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Recent and relevant child related workshop
- Clear Criminal record check
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent interpersonal behavior, communication and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Demonstrated initiative to create and support programming components
- Demonstrated interest in continued professional development
- Ability to handle high stress situations and manage them effectively
- Encourage self-help skills as well as facilitate problem solving techniques and respectful mannerisms
- Observe and bring to the attention of the supervisor any developmental concerns among children in their class to provide early intervention techniques and strategies

RATE OF PAY
- $31.91 (includes $6 wage initiative funding)
- Benefits after completion of 3-month probation

This position requires union membership with BCGEU and is open to all qualified applicants.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $31.91 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
