**Overview**
Main Street Cannabis Co. is a locally owned and operated independent cannabis retailer and we are looking for an experienced budtender to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring an excellent customer experience through prompt service and quality products. As a budtender at Main Street Cannabis Co. you will be expected to uphold and maintain Main Street Cannabis Co’s standards and guidelines.

**Responsibilities**
- Check customer IDs to ensure no one under the age of 19 enters the store.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, effects and safety.
- Continuously expand your cannabis knowledge to better assist our customers with their purchases.
- Ensure smooth operations including opening/closing duties, handling cash management duties, cashiering and operating the POS system accurately.
- Maintain calm and professional during busy or unusual events.
- Anticipate and address customer/store needs and communicate with management.
- Accurately perform weekly inventory audits.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Assist with general cleaning and organizing of store.

**Skills**
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Have knowledge of and familiarity with cannabis and cannabis products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in retail sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Competence in computer operation for inventory audit reporting purposes.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with cashiering processes and operating POS systems efficiently.

**Qualifications**
- 1+ years of cannabis retail experience (more is an asset).
- 2+ years customer service experience.
- 19+ years of age.
- Valid CannSell certification.
- Pass police background check.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Perform tasks related to stocking and store maintenance.

**Note: This store is not on a bus route. Applicants must have reliable transportation to/from work.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 20 per week
