At our Good Gate facility, you'll operate precision machinery to produce critical components for advanced elevator systems. This 2nd shift role is a great opportunity to work with a tech-forward company uniting trusted brands across North America.
- **Primary Responsibilities**:_

**Machine Setup and Maintenance**:

- Perform machine setup and inspect tools to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to support efficient workflow.
- Notify the supervisor of any faulty equipment or defective materials to prevent production delays.
- Operates and monitor machine performance, ensuring proper function and efficiency
- Verify workpiece conformation to specification using measuring instruments

**Quality Control**:

- Inspect parts for defects or irregularities and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal team to determine root cause of a problem and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.

**Assembly Prep/Packaging**:

- Perform assembly tasks according to established procedures and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to prep parts or components.
- Package Products
- Adhere to assigned production schedules and meet or exceed daily production targets.

**Work Area Maintenance**:

- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.

**Perform other related duties as assigned.**

**Job Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with Hand Tools preferred.
- 1-2 years of machine operator experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as a tape measure and micrometer
- Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Regular and prompt attendance required.
