We currently have an opening for a Security Alarm Technician, experienced within our industry dealing specifically with security alarms, cameras, access control and entry systems. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to support the areas throughout Comox Valley.

We are seeking someone experienced in wired security camera, access control and entry system installations as your forte. Of course, security alarm installation experience likely rounds out your talents handling installations of brands like Interlogix, Honeywell/Resideo, QolSys and 2GIG, although we mostly focus on DSC and NEO Power G. Somebody with all of these talents makes you very appealing to us. Other experience in electronics, networking or construction could also prove beneficial.

This is a full-time permanent position supported by our Campbell River office focussing on the Comox Valley market and would require Mon-Fri daytime availability. We are very busy with a large number of leads coming in that need the attention of the right individual with the right experience to install and support security for customers that appreciate Real Security. Some travel outside the Comox Valley will be necessary as required

**Responsibilities**:

- Detect and troubleshoot alarm system issues
- Install and program security alarm systems, cameras systems, access control and entry systems
- Perform routine maintenance on security systems
- Utilize schematics to diagnose and repair faults
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment effectively
- Provide technical support to customers on alarm system operation
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations

**Experience**:

- Experience with CCTV, access control and intercom installation is required.
- Proficiency in low voltage alarm system installations is required
- Elevators and fire panels installations a definite asset
- Familiarity with mechanical components and their functions
- Knowledge of computer hardware and networking
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in computer hardware and networking

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
