Job Summary:
We are seeking a Canadian trained and Canadian experienced, skilled and motivated level 2 certified dental assistant with surgical experience to join our dental specialty clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the specialist during various dental procedures and providing exceptional patient care. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterilized and organized
- Surgical experience is a must
- Assist the specialist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the specialist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
- Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and handling administrative tasks

**Skills**:

- Experience in prosthodontic and surgical procedures an asset
- Surgical procedures experience is a must
- Experience with digital charting
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Minimum 5 years experience required
- Applicant must be a Canadian citizen
