Canadian Memorial Services serves the Greater Toronto Area with three stand-alone Simple Alternative Funeral Centres and six Funeral Centres that are located on cemeteries owned by the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries. Our success is the result of a dedicated team of professional employees who are committed to providing compassionate, caring service to each and every client, with a special focus on providing culturally sensitive service.
We are currently looking for a Funeral Clerk to join our team at the Meadowvale location in Brampton.
- Process payments and arrangements, create documents, receipts, invoices, etc.
- Reconcile and prepare daily bank deposits and various reports when required
- Receive cremated remains, log and maintain files accordingly
- Maintain Accounts Receivable file
- Create and process Purchase Orders
- Monitor and update on-line memorializations
- Help with death notices and submissions
- Assist Funeral Directors as necessary
- Will work at the Reception desk on Sundays and provide additional reception coverage when required
- Maintain stock of collateral material, office supplies, donation cards and Janitorial Supplies
- Receive clothing, jewelry, casket & urn deliveries as required
- Perform other sundry duties as assigned
**Hours/Days of Work**:
- Sunday - Thursday
- 8:30AM - 5:00PM
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Ontario “G” driver’s licence
- Commitment to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment
- Team player
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 an asset
- Experience working with MS Office in Windows environment as well as standard office equipment

- Administrative: 3 years (required)
- Bank reconciliation: 3 years (required)
