Hevvy/Toyo Pumps North America is a Canadian owned pump manufacturing and distribution company located on the Fraser River in Coquitlam, BC. We are a family-owned and operated business that has been operating 40 overs. We are looking to hire a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. The Quality inspector measures, examining and testing products, processes and services to determine conformity. The inspector is a key role within our organization as they are the guardian of our reputation.

**Responsibilities**:
- Verify supplier packing lists to the corresponding material during incoming inspection.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of parts daily.
- Document and record inspection results and properly file hard and electronic copies.
- Interpret drawings and schematics.
- Initiate nonconformance reports (NCR's) for all nonconforming material.
- Work closely with Quality Inspector and Shop Manager/Supervisor
- Schedule and coordinate the calibration of all mechanical inspection tools by the outside calibration service.
- Hands inspection of castings, machines and fabricated parts for pumps
- Update Iso procedures, work instructions, records etc.
- Supporting the development of a new Compliance Management System (CMS) in a lean manufacturing environment
- Supporting materials, shipping and production departments as and when required
- Contact customers and suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Collect quality-related data for trends, continuous improvements.
- Adhering to current ISO 9001 standards and keeping all documentation up to date
- Work in a safe and respectful manner
- Attend regular training and safety meetings
- Follow and abide by companies’ health and safety standards and policies
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate
- 5+ years experience working in Quality Inspection
- 3+ years experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality systems, gauging, and close tolerance measurement.
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Overhead crane and forklift experience
- Experience with MS office
**Assets within the role**
- LPI, NDT Certification
- Completed post-secondary education within Quality Management
