We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts and Finance Manager to join our team in Vancouver and contribute to our continued success.
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Accounting Operations**:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and present monthly accounting reports, including trial balances, P&L statements, and balance sheets.
- Generate and review inventory and stock reports, providing insights into inventory levels and turnover.
- Administer and control business agreements, and manage collections from customers and clients.
- Manage quota and cross-border customs regulations for purchases.
- **Inventory Control**:
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Oversee inventory audits and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and systems.
- **Financial Management**:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:
- Lead and maintain the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic planning.
- **Payroll Management**:
- Manage, administer, and oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to employees.
- Manage payroll records, tax withholdings, and compliance with statutory laws.
- Address and resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries from employees.
- **Team Leadership**:
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- **Compliance, Control, and Customer Relations**:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities such as CRA, Service Canada, WorkSafe BC, ICBC, and other government agencies.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with vendors and customers regarding financial matters, promptly addressing and resolving issues or discrepancies.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Proven experience as an Accounts Manager, Accountant, or in a similar role, preferably within the food service or wholesale industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting processes, inventory control, and payroll management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

**Compensation/Benefits**
