The Analyst will assist in implementing the CEO office's strategy and support the CEO's Chief of Staff in
areas of the CEO office: meeting preparation & follow-ups, board meeting materials coordination and
preparation, company/market research, screening and preliminary analysis of potential investments,
have an active role in accompanying the team in strategic and administrative aspects.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Chief of Staff in delivering projects related to the development and growth of the Sagard Firm;
- Provide expertise in analyzing deal prospects, reviewing and writing investment memos;
- Coordinate and assemble board materials; including developing exhibits on investment risk management;
- Participate in aspects of deal processes and support the Corporate Development team through all stages of strategic transactions, including; identification of targets, analysis and valuation, due and post
- investment planning;
- Develop relationships and negotiate with external stakeholders, including target companies, investment bankers and M&A advisors;
- Work closely with the legal team to document transaction agreements;
- Review and maintain financial modelling;
- Financial modelling and analytical support for a variety of projects;
- Supporting the monitoring of investments in the Portage portfolio;
- Supporting the CEO Office Team as needed on special projects;

**Experience**:

- Great attitude and eagerness to learn and collaborate on a wide variety of projects
- CPA, CFA, MBA or an asset
- University degree in business administration/commerce, finance or accounting
- 3+ years of practical experience in investment banking
- Strong knowledge of Excel, financial analysis and modelling techniques;
- Mastery of research and analysis techniques
- Bilingualism essential: spoken and written (English - French)

**Must-Have**:

- Preferred experience in the financial services sector, ideally in the alternative asset manager sector
- Cultural fit with entrepreneurial, fast-paced companies
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Team player - happy to do whatever is required to support the team
- Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
