**Job Title**:Base Training Manager
**Reports to**:Director of Operations
The Base Training Manager reports to the Base Manager/ General Manager and oversees the Company’s training and development efforts and training compliance.
The primary focus of the Base Training Manager is to **oversee, implement and manage the Company’s training program.**

**Essential Job Functions**:
- Manage auditing and monitoring processes to ensure compliance with all applicable OHS and Canada Labour Code Part II, Transport Canada, CARs statutes, regulations and policies
- Assess training needs, including utilizing various methods such as surveys, meetings, focus groups, and employee/customer feedback
- Evaluate and modify training programs, instructors and materials on a regular basis to ensure effectiveness and compliance
- Oversee compliance of the Company’s Learning Management System (LMS)
- Auditing / monitoring location to ensure they understand, implement and maintain compliance with all safety policies, requirements and procedures
- Oversee, develop and implement training plans as necessary and appropriate
- Audit and monitor locations to ensure they understand, implement and maintain compliance with all safety policies, requirements and procedures
- Maintain continuous ongoing improvement of training materials and programs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage local and corporate training instructors
- Mentor locations to ensure their understanding and compliance with all business partners and company quality procedures
- Minimal travel may be required
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years’ experience leading employee training one-on-one and in classroom setting
- Working knowledge and understanding of OHS and Canada Labour Code Part II, Transport Canada, CARs statutes, regulations and policies
- Commitment to safety and security
- Demonstrated experience developing a variety of training content, materials, curricula, as well as experience conducting virtual and live classroom training
- Experience in the recognition, development, and implementation of process improvement opportunities
- Experience with eLearning development & delivery
- Experience leading a training team, fostering a motivating environment to coach and develop trainers
- Effective communicator
- Aviation experience is required, ramp oversight experience is _highly preferred_
- Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
**Education/Experience**:
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. High School Diploma and/or equivalent may be substituted with four or more year’s relevant experience in training and/or compliance.
