Novajet is seeking a Training Manager that will be accountable for the company training and regulatory compliance logistics.
This role includes working with the Senior Management to ensure the company training programs are delivered appropriately and on time to appropriate staff members.
Your attention-to-detail skills will be a huge asset to this position while performing a wide range of administrative services and support functions.
This position is a key role within the organization and requires someone who is professional, pleasant and has the ability to influence and lead in the training coordination and compliance.

**What you will bring to Novajet**
- 2-3 years experience in development of training programs within aviation is preferred
- Post-secondary education in Aviation Management or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations, Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Transportation Regulations, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral)
- Technically proficient with MS Office, iOS, CTA-FOS
- Well organized, detail oriented, efficient time management.
- Ability to work periodically within tight timelines.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and support and coach employees.
- Satisfactory criminal record check.
**Responsibilities**
The training manager is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of training programs for all employees. The duties of the position include:
a) working directly with the department head to ensure requirements are met, responsible for creating training programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. Ensure that the training programs are effective, efficient, and up to date.
b) responsible for developing a training plan that outlines the skills and knowledge required for employees to perform their jobs effectively. May involve conducting needs assessments to identify training gaps and designing training programs to address them.
c) analyze the performance of the aviation employees to identify their training needs. Determine the skills, knowledge, and competencies that the employees need to perform their jobs effectively.
d) evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Measure the performance of the employees before and after the training to determine the effectiveness of the training.
e) manage the resources needed for training, including trainers, facilities, equipment, and materials. Must ensure that the resources are available when needed and are used effectively.
f) ensure that the training programs comply with the regulatory, contractual and associations requirements. They must ensure that the employees receive the required training to maintain their certifications and licences.
g) provide feedback and coaching to the employees to help them improve their performance. They must identify areas for improvement and provide guidance on how to improve.
h) collaborate with all departments to ensure that the training programs meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
i) working directly with the department vice president, the training manager must manage the training budget, including developing the budget, monitoring expenditures, and making adjustments as needed. Must ensure that the training programs are cost-effective and provide a positive return on investment.
