As a Research Analyst in the IT Financial Management (ITFM) Practice, you will collect, model, validate, and deliver high-value analysis regarding member IT organizations and their performance. You will be working with a broad range of IT organizations in performing these assessments, supporting Research Directors in delivering analysis and recommendations to help them improve and communicate IT spending and value.

**What you will do, includes, but not limited to**

**Research**

**IT Spend Benchmarking Research Analyst Key Activities**
- Data management - collect large amounts of data, triage, and align the information to a standard taxonomy.
- Validation - Validate information, provide alternate scenarios to complete the data sets.
- Analysis - Perform root cause analysis and identify key observations, understand the client environment, culture, and issues as it relates to the assessments.
- Deliverables - Create final deliverables, including recommendations, participate in all client interactions.
- Toolsets and process updates - Provide input and observations to the Research process, update and augment analysis toolsets and intellectual property.

**Additional Research activities**
- Identify industry experts through a variety of sources, including advisory calls, workshops, consulting, LinkedIn, existing research, internal sales department, and current staff for primary research interviews.
- Helping to develop survey/interview questions and interviewing Subject Matter Experts, finding, and reading relevant literature in your assigned topic, and using the information gathered to generate insights.
- Collaborate with more senior Analysts to help develop frameworks or methodologies and building supporting tools and resources for publish on our website and use by Info-Tech Members.

**Advisory Calls with Clients**
- Participate in calls with senior Analysts and Members to develop your knowledge on Info-Tech’s published research and Advisory Call processes, with a view to eventually leading your own calls.
- Listening to the information provided by Members and taking notes on recommendations given to Members by Analysts on the ways they can use our research to work through a challenge or project.

**Support Workshop Delivery**
- Support Workshop Leads by organizing and administering virtual break-out rooms for remote workshops, and monitoring chat for questions, and posting relevant workshop links for workshop participants to use, and carrying out support functions for in-person workshops when they resume.
- Throughout the workshop, helping the Lead to collect and analyze activity outputs from participants and compiling them into a polished final deliverable for the Member at the end of the engagement.

**Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Support**
- Develop and provide written collateral to Sales, Workshop Delivery, Consulting, Public Relations & Marketing teams as needed.
- Work with senior Analysts to help design and build of high-quality keynote/other presentations.

**To be Successful, you will need**

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Analytics or Computer Science related degree
- 2-5 years professional experience in consulting or corporate environment
- IT financial management exposure/background a plus
- Strong knowledge and expertise with Microsoft suite of services.
- Excellent language and communications skills.
- Some practical experience in one or more of the following domains considered beneficial:

- General Ledger or internal finance tracking
- Related IT work experience
- Facilitation experience
- Previous research (qualitative and quantitative), data analysis, teaching and/or software experience
- Academic scholarships/awards are an asset
