The Research Analyst role will support all research initiatives under the Dynata Ad & Audience Measurement group specifically focusing on advertising effectiveness. Reporting to a Senior Research Manager, the Research Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing digital and offline advertising effectiveness studies.
This role includes direct face to face interactions with clients, requires exceptional communications skills and ability to independently write, present and sell through research findings for a set of solutions including but not limited to Dynata’s suite of products.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Delivery of Insights: Independently or in support of a Research Manager, design and build surveys, and analyze and deliver research findings and insights through our proprietary dashboard, cross-tabulations, and/or PowerPoint presentations- Client Service: Partner with sales & other research team members to increase retention (and acquisition) of clients. This includes participation in client meetings/calls, responding to client needs/questions and ad-hoc requests as required- Research Management: Partners with internal teams to ensure excellent delivery and customer service. This includes reviewing campaign objectives and media plans, developing and communicating project objectives to operations and sales team members, overseeing project deliverables including quality assurance
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES- Analysis & report writing skills focused on delivering insights and recommendations to clients- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; highly motivated, self-directed and capable of working under mínimal supervision with a high level of initiative, energy & enthusiasm for learning- Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently setting deadlines to work against, and working with tight deadlines while maintaining a strong client service orientation- Ability to grasp and understand new technologies quickly- Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint- Experience using SPSS, SAS or other statistical software is a plus- Willingness to travel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- 1-3 years in a client facing research delivery role (ideally with experience in digital/cross-media advertising effectiveness research) or relevant experience (post-grad research analyst program)- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in relevant discipline (Marketing Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, etc.)
