**Responsibilities**:

- Annual Objectives: Work with the Director of Marketing to develop aggressive taproom sales forecast/plan to identify opportunities and develop an annual execution of the plan and budget, in line with company strategic objectives
- Lead Taproom team to effectively support retail strategic initiatives, drive taproom traffic, and volume growth while providing excellence in service.
- Create, manage and track Brewery based Sales programs including the Dockside Draft program to ensure successful retail execution and analyze the program effectiveness.
- Community Hub: Develop a strong rapport with the local Muskoka community organizations, the beer community and with other local businesses. Build collaborative partnerships by delivering more value than the competition, through superior customer service and Taproom promotional support.
- Staff Management: Oversee Taproom Assistant Manager, Leads, Enthusiasts and Dockside team members and provide consistent coaching and meaningful development opportunities, including merchandise product education and customer-centric service training.
- Taproom Training. Oversee training with lead (Assistant Taproom & Retail Manager) to develop Taproom Enthusiast handbook and facilitate training program with leads and staff. Actively monitor the seasonal and part time staff to ensure knowledge of processes, practices, service standards and product is top of mind and effectively communicated. - Digital: Working with Muskoka Brand Manager and Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure Taproom and Retail offers are represented accurately on our website and on social media platforms, including but not limited to product availability, promotional offers, menus, events, and more.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the fiscal budget and participate in forecasting activities, staffing and resource planning, oversee inventory management, merchandise purchasing and pricing, and promotional programming. Prepare monthly sales report highlighting key changes, successes, and challenges. Brainstorm ideas to address challenges promptly.
- Taproom Marketing: In partnership with Assistant Taproom and Retail Manager you will collaborate with the Marketing team to manage Brewery events, hosting’s and tastings, as well as product launches and promotions. Provide input on social media communication for Taproom events, fireside e-newsletter, launches, new consumer experiences and other promotional opportunities.
- Trade Marketing: Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on promotional activity in market and roll out same promotion activity for the taproom, ensure displays and pricing is correctly applied for in-store promotions.
- Sales Reporting/System Management: Lead and report on Touch Bistro daily, weekly and monthly sales, as well as ensuring the system is up to date with new products, revisions to products or formats captured, pricing accuracy, and correct inventory levels are reflected.
- Manage Taproom Presentation: ensure high quality customer experience in the taproom from cleanliness, atmosphere, display management and décor.
- As a team, oversee the successful resolution of consumer complaints both in store, calls and online, work with the leads on reimbursements, shipments, and overall follow through.
- Provide hands-on support to Taproom team members when feasible including conducting tours, inventory counts, event execution, and provide service to the consumers.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successful completion of a post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality or Retail Management
- 3-5 years of retail management experience (in the beverage industry is an asset)
- Must be Smart Serve and be food safe certified (or willing to get prior to start date)
- Available to work various hours to align with supporting Taproom team and special events
- Proven to be passionate about customer service, community and the beer industry
