Within the framework of the Adult Addiction Programs, the Addiction Worker is responsible for assisting other team members with the entry of clients into the appropriate service at the Sister Margaret Smith Centre and assist with the facilitation of program delivery.
This position will assist the Older Adult Program with intake to the program and complete the following tasks: provide information and communicate with potential clients and referents through phone, fax, mail and virtual platforms; ensure information and referral material is up to date; complete referral log, register, admit, and provide service logging for clients in Catalyst; Assist with client admissions to residential programs; Assist with administration of screening tools; provide tours and information to referents as requested; Provide transportation options to clients so as to reduce barriers to programs, including driving corporate vehicle; Recognize and respond appropriately to increased needs of vulnerable populations. The Addiction Worker will participate in developing community linkages, promoting programs and fostering positive public relations.
This role will also include support to other programs and groups within the Sister Margaret Smith Centre as required. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
**This is Expression of Interest is eligible for the Community Team Lead designation and open to all full time Addiction Workers.
