**Job Description**:
Full-time year-round position, including but not limited to operating equipment to maintain and repair roads, plow snow, install signs, culverts etc. The operator is directly responsible to the foreman; must be a team player as well have the ability to work on their own. Blading roads safely and efficiently, performing routine inspections and maintenance of equipment. Keeping detailed records of logbooks, inventory etc. Operating equipment including but not limited to (graders, tractor, mower, snowblower)
Qualifications:
- The applicant must possess a valid driver's license
- Criminal Record Check
- A knowledge of equipment operation and service
- A working knowledge of road building, maintenance and grading techniques will be seen as an asset but not required.
- Have an ability to maintain a good working relationship with council, ratepayers and other staff members.
Technical Skills:
- Equipment repairs and maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with welding, fabricating and repairing RM assets
- Operating trucks and trailers (valid class 5 driver’s license minimum)
- Operation, tractor load and various equipment attachments (PME required)
