**Overall responsibility**

Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.

Takes orders for, serves food and beverages to guests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

**Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility**
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Take customer’s order; identifying customers' special dietary needs and special requests; transmit order to kitchen
- Stay updated on current menu choices and specialties, etc. with the ability to make suggestions
- Help customers select food and beverages; offering; suggesting; explaining the chef's specialties;
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Assist with special events if needed
- Follow sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

**Qualities & Requirements**
- Serving It Right (SIR) Certificate
- Previous customer service experience required
- Previous server experience as an asset
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills required
- Pass Airport Security Clearance Check; holding a valid airport ID as an asset
- Smart Serve Certificate
- High school graduates

**WHATS IN IT FOR ME**:

- If you start or finish duty between 2400 hours and 0530 hours are entitled to an Odd Hours Allowance of CAD 0.50 per hour.
- If your attendance is up to company's standard you are entitled to an Attendance Incentive of CAD 0.50 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All Covid-19 precautions are in place. Face masks, gloves, sanitized work spaces, hand sanitizers available for staff and customers, screens at front-desk and buffet/bar counters. Fully vaccinated staff.

**Experience**:

- serving: 1 year (preferred)
