In 2022, we announced that our studio is implementing a **four-day work week** as well as supporting in-studio, remote within Canada, and hybrid work arrangements as permanent options to our employees.

We are looking for Quality Assurance Analysts to work on-site alongside a world-leading cross-discipline Virtual Reality and Robotics team at Sanctuary AI, to execute testing and workflow requirements using state-of-the-art virtual reality simulation equipment and proprietary software.

You will operate VR rigs within a “Pilot” role, as well as oversee and collate data within a “CoPilot” role. Longer term, the role may include teleoperating the Studio’s general-purpose robots.

Alongside the operation of the VR rigs, analysts will provide feedback on test cases, workflow improvements, and feature development.

Depending on your experience level, you may also be part of creating test plans, guiding specific tests, and assessing issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pilot state-of-the-art virtual reality equipment, performing a variety of physical test cases to be captured within the Studio’s proprietary software
- Monitor the actions of, and collate data from, other Analysts using the VR equipment
- Learn to pilot the VR simulators, and eventually robots, while keeping the integrity of the hardware (motion capture/teleop rig and robot) in mind
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute new test cases, best practices, and workflows
- Effectively communicate the status of test cases to department Leads and development teams
- Author and update tickets within the project database
- Provide daily status updates and trends to QA Leadership and the development team.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality Assurance role
- Work on-site for the entirety of the contracted period
- Basic proficiency with Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies
- Manual dexterity is required to operate VR equipment
- Experience with Video Games QA process and testing terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple audiences.
- Ability to work within a highly functional cross-discipline team.
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing for up to 4 hours a day, 4 days a week.

**Pluses**:

- Strong understanding of Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies
- Basic working understanding of Linux
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as JavaScript or Python
- Familiarity with 3D packages, or video game engines
- Experience with database software such as Jira

**Schedule**:

- Full time 6 month contract
- Morning and evening shifts
- 4-day work shifts cycling between Monday to Friday
