**Job Title**: Educational Program Assistant - Summer Term
**Job Location**: 2088 Wellington Avenue, Winnipeg MB

**Wage**: $20.00 / hour, biweekly pay period
**Term**: 4-month term position. Incumbent must be fully available throughout the contract term, May 12th to August 25th, 2025. Shifts are 7.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada (RAMWC) is located on the James A. Richardson International Airport campus. The Museum is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the history of aviation in Western Canada. The Museum showcases 27 aircraft and many unique aviation artefacts from its collection, presented from a story-driven approach.

**Our Mission**:We preserve and promote the stories of aviation in western and northern Canada while educating, entertaining, and inspiring.

**The Role**:This is a hybrid role overlapping the Education and Summer Programs. You will assist the educational team in the delivery of museum developed programs for school groups. During the summer, programming is geared towards day cares and other child focused groups and consists of fun STEM based activities in a classroom setting, along with 60-minute tours of the museum. You will also assist the Visitor Experience teams with their summer camps and running the interactive zones of the museum.

**Duties**
- Assist in the set-up and preparations of supplies in the classrooms
- Assist the Educators in the delivery of STEM based classes in May and June
- Deliver classroom activities as part of the summer programming
- Deliver 60-minute tours of the museum to children and students
- Assist the STEM Education Administrator with taking booking requests
- Engage with museum visitors in the Science of Flight and Pedal Plane Zones
- Assist the Visitor Experience Team with the delivery of activities and community events at the museum
- Explain our programs to the public making inquiries
- Tidy up the classrooms after classes are finished
- Communicate with all museum departments as required

**Qualifications**
- Student enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- Must have experience working with children.
- Experience working in a school, public program or camp setting.
- Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in French considered an asset
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid certification in Emergency First Aid & AED considered an asset
- Satisfactory results of a criminal record search and vulnerable sector search
