Position Overview Aecon Industrial brings seamless solutions to key clients through operational excellence and reliability. With the ability to self-perform across our diverse business offering and a strategic fabrication network, Aecon Industrial proactively and profitably manages projects across a diverse range of industrial business areas. (Renewable Energy, Natural Gas Distribution, Oil and Gas, Water Infrastructure, Mining, Cogeneration Energy, Chemical, etc.). Aecon Industrial is also known for the pioneering of prefabricated piping services to better manage site labour and the integration of specialized coating systems into the fabrication process.
CO-OP terms vary in length, there are current openings for 4 months co-op positions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provides status report of project.
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables and requests for information.
- Provides status and progress reports to his/her supervisor/manager.
- Development and upkeep of project tracking tools, including progress and cost.
- Coordinates site procurement activities including preparation of purchase requisitions, materials tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field.
- Active involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.
- Provides estimating and project management assistance as required.
- Performs such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor/manager.
- Drives an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- 3rd or 4th year Engineering Degree (Civill, Electrical, Mechatronics).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
- Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ service orientated.
- Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset.
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Sound computer skills - MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word, MS Project.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willing to travel as required.
