Because at uOttawa, you belong Position Purpose **Reporting to the Manager, Community Engagement**: Explore, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diverse experiential learning programs and models in a contexte of community engagement by researching and developing placements with partners and professors based on the specific needs of Community Service Learning (CSL) courses and other experiential learning initiatives. Assess the quality and suitability of placements and initiatives to ensure relevant and enriching learning experiences are available to students. Act as uOttawa Ambassador with community partners to promote the image of the University and promote community engagement and social accountability within the University community. **In this role you will**: Coordinate and manage the different stages relating to the community engagement placement process with key stakeholders (students, professors and community partners) Identify areas of growth for experiential learning opportunities for specific faculties, departments, and courses by creating and developing prospective strategies related to assigned disciplines/portfolios to convince potential (new and recurring) professors to integrate the Community Service Learning (CSL) program. Anticipate, map, and analyze the needs of existing and new community partners. Maintain relationships with internal partners (faculties, departments, professors) and community partners to encourage their participation in community engagement programs. Act as an ambassador for the University of Ottawa and promote its community engagement programs **What you will bring**: Knowledge of account management and community engagement principles normally acquired through a university degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 3 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role Excellent knowledge of the local and national Community’s sphere, the principles of community engagement and social accountability. Knowledge of university studies, academic programs (both at the undergraduate and graduate level), and principles of experiential learning. Excellent knowledge in account management, business development and Customer Relation Management (CRM). Ability to build positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders and partners. Ability to persuade and influence people without a relationship of authority. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to act tactfully and with diplomacy. Excellent initiative and autonomy. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently to achieve work related goals. Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Strong time-management skills.
