**Join our team **AGR Rebar is currently seeking a crane operator.

**Here’s what you need to know about the role**:

- Full-time, permanent position;
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 14:30 PM;
- Starting salary at $26.96 per hour

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Operate machines safely and be aware of risks and procedures involved when working in a rebar shop;
- Operating the cranes within the production plant;
- Safely loading and unloading trucks, stacking materials safely where they belong and by maintaining a clean organized work area;
- Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other team members;
- Work on machines cutting and bending rebar;
- Clean machines and work areas;
- Regular inspection of machines prior to the start of shift, immediately identifying any machinery irregularity and reporting directly to the maintenance technician to reduce the cost/risk of machinery downtime;
- Act in compliance with AGF’s Health & Safety policies following the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Other duties as assigned;
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing;
- Experience in operating an overhead OR tower crane ;
- Basic math/measurement skills (an asset);
- Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment;
- Ability to work physically - lift/move up to 50lbs;
- Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work;
- Good communication skills, Multi-tasking and a strong capacity for teamwork.
