As a valued member of the JFSC Housekeeping team, you will perform house cleaning activities within established operational guidelines, maintaining a consistent focus on JFSC Core Values, Health and Safety, Service Quality and _**outstanding**_Customer Service.

Each JFSC Housekeeping team member, plays an integral role in supporting our community clients by providing cleaning services on a regular basis allowing our clients to age in place. You are not just a Housekeeper, you create positive and meaningful experiences with our valued clients during every interaction. You MUST enjoy working with Seniors and genuinely look forward to creating valuable interactions while ensuring that their environment is clean and safe.

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**
- Complete assigned cleaning duties within client homes and provide services as directed in a cleaning/service plan, which may include, but are not limited to vacuuming/sweeping/washing floors, tiding bedrooms/changing beds, dusting common areas, garbage removal, washing dishes, cleaning countertops/cabinets, appliances, cleaning microwave, cleaning/organizing bathrooms, and common areas
- Understand the importance of preventing cross-contamination when cleaning high risk sources
- Ability to multitask and work within time restraints without compromising on quality
- Create positive and collaborate working relationships with clients, families, and other team members
- Attend all required staff and training meetings to enhance current skill levels ultimately improving the quality of service provided
- Maintain confidentiality and provide service to our clients with dignity, compassion, and respect
- Create awareness regarding client’s rights and responsibilities

**QUALIFICATIONS**

*Experience is an asset but not required. We fully train all staff to meet our standards. Students and newcomers to the industry are welcome to apply. (Must be 18 years of age to apply)
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of equipment and chemicals used in cleaning
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a member of a team
- Completion of High School or GED
- Experience working with Seniors or Vulnerable adults is considered an asset
- Must possess a reliable cell phone with data plan
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Required to successfully complete a Criminal Background check, including vulnerable population check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driver’s abstract and access to reliable transportation
- Outstanding customer service skills
- WHMIS training is an asset
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is considered an asset

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPECTATIONS**
- Required travel to client homes across the city of Calgary (majority in NE/NW quadrants)
- Interaction with male and female clients of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Crouching, kneeling, stooping/bending, pushing/pulling for extended periods of time
- Walking, standing and climbing stairs frequently
- Shifts are scheduled on a 3-week rotation

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
