**Parks & Aquatic Maintenance**

The City of Steinbach has a full-time maintenance opening in the Parks and Recreation Department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform a variety of seasonal tasks such as installation and maintenance of seasonal décor, maintenance and inspection of parks, sports fields, facilities, grounds, playground equipment, outdoor skating rinks, and beautification/landscaping related work.
- Operate and perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment including grounds keeping and landscaping equipment, and vehicles.
- Assist with tree maintenance, snow removal, cemeteries, and Event Centre
- Assist in the maintenance of the Aquatic Centre including water chemistry and operation of the pool

Qualifications:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
- Certified Pool Operators Course
- Pesticide/Applicator’s License
- Available to work special events, weekend, evening, and holiday shifts

The City offers a 40-hour workweek with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver’s Abstract.
