**Summary**:
A great opportunity to provide counselling to Probation and Parole clients referred to Randy Scott Clinical Services by the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario, in a probation and parole office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing individual and group counselling to clients;
- Follow the guidelines of RSCS and the Ministry of the Solicitor General of Ontario when working with clients;
- Meet the company's contractual obligations to the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario.

**Succeeding as a Counsellor - Randy Scott Clinical Services will require the following core qualifications and skills**:

- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work;
- Professional College membership and valid professional liability insurance;
- Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate counselling experience delivering cognitive behavioral therapy;
- Experience and confidence to work with individuals who have complex issues and challenges; including domestic violence, sexual acting out, addictions, social exclusion, and involvement with the justice system and/or social service field;
- Experience with mandated clients is an asset;
- Ability to work with various types of clients presenting a wide variety of issues;
- Knowledge of local community resources;
- Knowledge of physical/sexual abuse responsibility and legislation is an asset;
- Ability to work from a strength-based perspective, helping clients set and meet their goals;
- Ability to write clear and concise case notes;
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management, and organizational skills;
- Adherence to professional and ministry boundaries for client intervention;
- You are required to provide your own laptop and phone.
