Fleet Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the strategic planning and assigning of trucks with deliveries for customers and their respective locations in the most efficient manner. In addition to the supervising and scheduling of drivers and equipment, a crucial role as part of this role is inventory management and volume forecasting for Alliance customers. The Fleet Coordinator will provide the best support to our drivers ensure customer service excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Dispatch
- Scheduling deliveries
- Ensuring quality and completion of all paperwork from drivers
- Driver scheduling: ensure adequate coverage
- Building and maintaining a master load pattern list for all branch units
- Insuring drivers are following Alliance procedures for safe and efficient operation
- Other related duties as required or assigned.
Trucking Compliance
- Work with Logistics Manager to ensure all vehicle registration, insurance, permits, and inspections are valid
- Management of USDOT regulations (FAST Cards, Plates, Transponders)
- Keeping all branch unit files up to date
Maintenance Coordination
- Managing unit down time to allow for in house/outside vendor repairs
- Scheduling repairs with the Shop and external vendors
- Any inventory variances must be reported daily to the Area Manager
Office and Yard Duties
- Assist in answering phone calls and customer service duties
- Assist Logistics Manager
- Operation of equipment as required
OTHER KEY SKILLS (or product knowledge)
- Experience working in transportation and construction considered an asset
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
EXPEREINCE
3+ years’ experience in dispatch related position

**Salary**: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
