Harmony Animal Training & Behaviour is looking to hire a part-time Assistant Trainer or Co-Lead Trainer for our open enrollment Puppy Start Right Preschool (PSRP) orientation session, PSRP group class, and weekly Puppy Socials. This position would be perfect for a new dog trainer graduate or someone with a keen interest in dog training.

All classes are held at our well-equipped training facility in downtown Langley City (Unit #104 - 20559 Fraser Hwy). Our Puppy Start Right Preschool group classes are made up of a maximum of 6 puppies (no older than 12 weeks at the start of the 5-week class) and our Puppy Socials are made up of a maximum of 8 puppies between 8 and 20 weeks old. Both programs are solely focused on effective early puppy socialization rather than manners/obedience.

**Trainer Responsibilities**:

- Set up the training facility for students before class
- Greet students and help them get settled in as they arrive
- Assist students with their puppies during class
- Help manage puppy play time
- Perform handling exercises with puppies
- Clean up any potty accidents
- Break down the training facility after class
- Clean the training facility after class

This position is ongoing regular part-time work (3 hours of teaching time per week on set days/times, plus additional prep time). The Trainer must be bondable, be willing to complete a criminal background check, and have reliable transportation/transit to the training facility.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week
