WayForth LLP is seeking a lawyer with 4+ years’ experience in corporate-commercial work to join our growing multi-service legal team. We are a forward-thinking law firm that emphasizes efficient and effective work over billable hours. We believe that professionals serve their clients and community best when they are given the space to work sustainably in an environment where their particular strengths are identified and developed. WayForth LLP prioritizes mentorship and professional development at all stages of a professional career so that lawyers can run their own files, with the support of experienced law clerks, and contribute to leadership in the firm sooner rather than later.
We anticipate our new hire will contribute to our corporate-commercial team by serving existing WayForth clients and growing / generating new solicitor-client relationships.
**Qualifications, skills and attributes**
- Qualified to practise law in the Province of Ontario.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Friendly, outgoing disposition.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Able to work independently in a busy environment, while also working well within our existing team.
**Overview of Duties**
- Receive, and prepare incoming/outgoing mail and fax transmissions.
- Greet clients and visitors.
- Maintain conference and meeting rooms.
- Maintain the waiting area and other public areas.
- Primarily responsible for ordering office supplies and other inventory.
- Answer and route incoming calls.
- Drafting written communications, and legal instruments under the direction of a supervising professional.

- Positive and pleasant demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills - able to prioritize between competing tasks.
- Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills. Friendly, outgoing disposition.
- Reliable, responsible and able to maintain the necessary confidentiality.
- Able to work independently in a busy environment, while also working well within our existing team.
**Compensation**
- Generous compensation based on our internal formulation which rewards the productivity, supervision of law clerks and liaison with clients which constitute a maturing professional practice.
