Hockey Sales Associate

Team Members are responsible for creating meaningful interactions with customers. You will offer advice and fit them with hockey equipment that not just fits them the best but fits their game the best. You are passionate about hockey and customer service. Reporting to the Store Manager, our Team Members are our greatest brand ambassadors and a key role within our organization. Each Teammate is exceptional at creating intentional customer experiences and building community by developing authentic relationships with our guests. Team Members are thoughtful, curious, and good people who ensure the organization’s success by imparting hockey equipment fitting advice while achieving sales goals. You will seek information, knowledge and feedback. You understand customer service and ask great questions to uncover customer intentions to provide a personalized shopping experience. You demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility. Your superpower is creating elevated experiences. Some would call you a trailblazer - you aren’t afraid of taking risks or dealing with ambiguity. Recognizing that we operate in a competitive industry, you see the immense value in our store’s history. You take pride in acting as a brand ambassador inside and outside the store to ensure company success within the hockey industry.
**Responsibilities**
- Create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships and appropriately determining needs
- Successfully drive sales by educating on the brand and products.
- Demonstrate a high level of hockey knowledge and create experiences that go above and beyond expectations
- Successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics.
- Seek opportunities to contribute to and improve business results daily
- Support with inventory management and practice proper section ownership to ensure customers have access to the right stock to drive sales
- Support with completing all tasks and cleaning duties within the store as assigned
- Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures (education, merchandising, cleanliness, security, checklists etc.)
- Ensure you are aware of all company directives and procedures
- Complete tasks as assigned by the manager on duty.
**Qualifications**
- Customer service experience, retail is preferred
- Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- You are passionate about hockey and can share your experiences from the game.
- You are open to feedback and coaching
- You demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility
- You are trustworthy and customer-oriented
- Bonus points if you have worked in a position related to hockey or have experience skate sharpening

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Regular disinfecting of commonly touched surfaces. Masks are welcomed, but not mandatory.
**Experience**:
- Retail or customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- hockey playing: 5 years (preferred)
