You will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging water and wastewater infrastructure and conveyance projects, where you’ll will utilize your expertise to collaborate with our teams in a safe and efficient delivery - from start to finish. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with the project Contractors and interacting with the Client. You are Jacobs’ face to the client and public during construction, and as such you have demonstrated strengths in respectful communication, problem solving, and a love for working with people and getting things done. You are resourceful, independent, and willing to go the extra mile to gain satisfaction in implementing an excellent project. **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - University degree or engineering technology diploma or demonstrated experience - At least 10 years of progressive experience in the water and wastewater industry - Ability to read and understand of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings - Experience inspecting the work performed by a contractor according to a construction contract - Experience in testing, start-up, and commissioning of mechanical systems on treatment facilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Ability to effectively communicate with clients and contractors - Ability to work with the project team, client, and contractor to resolve construction issues - Ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating reports - The physical ability to move around an active construction site regardless of season - Valid driver’s license and a car to drive to construction sites - Strong technical troubleshooting skills **Ideally, You’ll Also Have** - 10+ years of construction site inspection and/or contract administration experience - In depth knowledge of commissioning and operation and maintenance processes and procedures - Strong technical knowledge of water and mechanical wastewater treatment systems - Passion for construction of infrastructure and building projects - Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as a professional engineer in the Province of Manitoba - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
