Louisville Ladder Corp. (LLC) is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment within our production plant. The maintenance technician’s responsibilities include performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, and fulfilling other duties such as building maintenance as assigned.

To be successful in this role you should be a master of multitasking, effectively managing schedules, orders, and supplier communications. They should have strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize production efficiency, along with problem-solving abilities to address supply chain challenges before they escalate. Collaboration is key, as they will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Being highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in planning will help prevent inventory and scheduling disruptions, making them a valuable asset to the team.

This position is responsible for purchasing components and raw materials from our corporate head office and other suppliers as assigned by the company under company policies, customer and model specifications, and provincial and federal laws and regulations. Plans movement of materials from outsourced suppliers as per production requirements. Responsible for maintaining a minimum inventory level that supports the production demand and prevents material shortages leading to line stoppages at the plant. Maintains good vendor relationships and negotiates pricing, manages and follows up on orders to keep on top of delays affecting production demands. Works with Logistics/Plant manager to ensure daily and weekly scheduling based on materials on hand and expected can be met with manpower.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Vendor PO allocation, follow-up, and maintenance
- Reception of finished goods and raw materials in the system
- Vendor performance management and conflict resolution
- Negotiate with vendors (prices, terms, dates)
- Indirect purchases related to services, and materials not related to finished goods production
- Follow up on inbound materials, to ensure the timely arrival of products
- Act as liaison between purchasing and manufacturing to clear up shortages
- Monitor inventory accuracy, and perform cycle counts
- Maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders and peers
- Raw material validation before scheduling
- Work order allocation and maintenance
- Schedule production to meet customer requirements
- Review the production schedule with PM to determine the priorities of the final schedule
- Use EXCEL, Visual and ERP system at an Intermediate level
- Review and work with QA, Sales, Production and suppliers to resolve any purchasing or scheduling issues

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, production scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong vendor negotiation skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
