Material Handler

**KML Windows Inc**., a division of Andersen Corporation, currently have an opening for a Material Handler. This is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Material Planning group.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinates with Lead Hands and Supervisors to ensure the accurate and timely movement of materials to and from the required areas/facilities to prevent production interruptions.
- Meet and maintain daily objectives of material movement between facilities and departments, including inventory control.
- Unload trucks of incoming materials, inspect, verify incoming shipment, and complete receipt documentation.
- Put away warehouse materials and document information on material transfer sheets.
- Kitting preparation for production.
- Carries out cyclical inventory counts, and updates inventory records as required.
- Helps to organize the material flow in the plant and maintains proper housekeeping standards.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work environment; support and participate in 5S process.
- Comply with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
- Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.

**QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- 1- 3 years material handling/shipping experience.
- Solid understanding of inventory control (min/max) systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management and analysis preferred.
- Able to operate a forklift in a safe manner according to the procedures set out in the OH&S Act and KML policy. If not a ‘certified’ operator, must be willing to take necessary courses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates clear and respectful communication skills in all situations.
- Able to take instruction and direction from all managers.
- Solid knowledge of all product lines and able to understand production and shipping paperwork.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates a positive, respectful attitude and the ability to interact effectively with others.
- Ability to work flexible and/or additional hours to meet customer and timeline requirements.

**Available Shift**:

- **Days 5:00a.m. - 1:30 p.m.** (Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts)

**Salary**:

- $21.20 - $24.48 per hour + 6% afternoon shift premium when applicable
