The Lead Cook will be responsible for coordinating kitchen activities, managing food inventory, and upholding food safety protocols.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Plan and execute daily meal preparation, ensuring timely service of high-quality dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies for meal preparation.
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Assist in the development of training materials for new staff members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Managing food and beverage inventory
- Seeking ways to improve operations & processes
- Maintain standards for kitchen cleanliness & ensuring consistency of cleaning schedules
- Tracking food waste
- Prep and set up of workstations and equipment - Cook breakfast and lunch dishes with various utensils and cooking equipment - Ensure all food/other items are properly stored

Skill Sets Required:

- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry
- Strong understanding of culinary procedures & standards
- Ability to work independently & as a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome immediate issues
- Knowledge needed for organizing and planning staff, inventory & costs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.20-$19.20 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 30 per week
